My Favorite Skincare + Beauty Products of 2022

Recommending products I truly love is one of my favorite things to do. My 2021 Best of Beauty list was a good one. You’ll see some repeat players here in my 2022 list of favorite skincare and beauty products. I made sure to select items that are really worth your money and also well within reach for most budgets.

As you scroll through, note that my skin may be different than yours and yours is different from the next person’s. I suffer from chronic eczema, which generally leads to overall dryness in addition to a higher sensitivity. So, when it comes to my skincare and beauty, I’m looking for moisture and anything can give me an extra glow. I also avoid anything that will cause a flare-up or irritation. You’ll see that reflected here in these beauty and skincare finds because I’ve learned my lessons!.

Shop them here before you dig in below…

1: RMS Beauty‘s Master Radiance Base

This is possibly my favorite new discovery of 2022. I discovered it thanks to one of my favorite bloggers, Natalie of The Fashionably Broke. If you want a subtle all-over glow, this is the ticket. I actually melt a bit of my favorite facial oil and this glowing base together in my finger tips before I evenly apply it to my face. I do this before I put anything else on. It shines through a tinted moisturizer or foundation for an effortless and natural glow.

Shop it here for $36.

2: Vanity Planet Ice Roller

For a small price, this little angel can change your whole morning around after a night of drinking, during allergy season, or when you wake with a headache of any kind. I keep it in the freezer at all times. After a good wash and moisturizer session, I roll this around my face to depuff my eyes, calm a headache, and reduce inflammation in my sinuses.

Shop it here for $19.

3: PMD Facial Cleanser

This is a repeat champion in my arsenal. I moved it up on the list this year because I simply want more people to know about it and to throw away their washcloths. I’ve had my PMD cleanser for 3+ years. It’s easy to travel with, never needs recharging, and leaves my face genuinely clean without feeling like it was over-exfoliated. The silicone structure also stays clean and steril no matter what.

Check out the PMD Cleansing Device for $99.

4: Fenty Beauty Highlighter

This starts a long line of Fenty Beauty recommendations. I love them all because Rihanna made her beauty brand all about that glow. The Fenty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick glides on smoothly without any oil residue. The shimmer is so sheer, so its effect is subtle and natural. I swipe it on the eyebrow bones, cheekbones, tip of my nose, and cupids bow (just above the lips). Then I blend it all in so it looks seamless on my face.

Shop it here for $28.

5: Fenty Facial Spray

If you’re into having a bit of luxury in your pocket, add this facial spray to your lineup. It is the finest mist I’ve ever found in a facial spray.  It feels so decadent when I use it. The What It Dew Make Up Refreshing Spray is perfect for setting your makeup before you head out the door or spraying for a bit of invigorating moisture during the day.

Shop it here for $18.

6: Fenty Gloss Bomb in Heat

For a bit of plump and a touch of color, I love this Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper. It immediately starts plumping, so expect a tingle. The hot cherry color is bright yet not too intense. It leaves a subtle sheer pop of red. It glides over lipstick or other lip colors really easily.

Shop it here for $24.

7: Buxom Lip Gloss

Here’s another big winner in the lip-plumping category that doesn’t irritate my skin. I love this for more of a creamier vibe. I use the light pink color called “Dolly.” It’s a natural pink that leaves a nice sheen. It also tints my lips themselves a bit pinker over the course of the day, which is a nice bonus.

Shop the Full-On Plumping Lip Cream on sale for $21.

8: Mabeline Falsies Lash Lift

I work with makeup artists on set all the time via my marketing agency. The most popular mascara in their makeup kits is this drug-store brand mascara available for under $10. Other big-time bloggers also swear by it, as well. It really adds volume and length and doesn’t irritate my eyes when I take it off unlike other designer brands.

Makeup Artist Tip: Don’t forget to curl your lashes BEFORE you apply masacara.

Shop it here for $9.99.

9: Switch 2 Pure CBD Body Wash + Body Oil

I was so excited to work with this brand this year. I’m a big fan of CBD. I even visited a CBD farm in 2022. What I didn’t expect was for the body wash and oil to spell so magical and genuinely calm and moisturize my skin. The hemp-infused body cleanser helps inflamed, tired, and overactive skin feel better while the Good & Glow, soothing body is loaded with natural vitamins that hydrate and help retain moisture. It’s a perfect luxurious gift for a friend or lover for Valentine’s Day.

Shop the Body Glow Bundle for $95. (It comes with a body wash, body oil, and sponge.)

10: Aveeno Eczema Balm

I receive regular DMs from parents looking for relief for their children and adults like me looking for new solutions to their eczema. I recommend this product the most consistently. On a day-to-day basis, this product has been the most effective at reducing the signs of eczema on the worst and best days. When I run out and use another lotion, I notice the difference before the day is over. Here are a few more eczema tips.

Shop it for $19 on Amazon here. (save when you subscribe!)

11: Coco & Eve Self Tanner Mousse

It’s hard to find a self-tanner for someone who suffers from eczema. I often get irritated by the product or the color applies inconsistently on my skin. This self-tanner not only has a stunning, natural color, but it moisturizes my skin. After the second day of the tan, I’m glowing in more ways than one thanks to all the good stuff locked inside the bottle. Bonus: It smells DELICIOUS.

Quick tip: I get about 4 full uses out of each bottle. If you subscribe on Amazon, you save moola!

Shop it here for $34.

12. Wander Eye Baggage Claim Eye Masks

Much like the ice roller, these are perfect for when your face is puffy, dehydrated, and tired. The gold foil eye masks reduce the appearance of dark circles and infuse a bit of extra life into your eyes. Bonus: they are super cute and fun to wear. It helps get my head in the game to feel more like a princess when I’m really feeling like the troll under the bridge.

Shop them at Sephora for $26.
