Striped Maxi Dress for Summer Days and Summer Nights
I’ve found yet another dress that will be worn over and over again thanks to Mod & Soul. I honestly can’t stop wearing this. I am even considering throwing a white blazer on top and rocking it to work. What would you think about that?
I wanted to talk a little bit today about WHY I love this dress. I believe black and white staples like this dress should be in everyone’s closet. From polka dot tops, to plaid pixie pants, a striped blazer, and even a checkered coat, I have a black and white staple in every category.
I love my colors and crazy patterns, so it can be hard for me to settle on something without color. A killer pattern usually makes it worth it. Having these neutral patterns around makes getting dressed easy on days when I just can’t even but still want to look fabulous. I can wear my striped tunic with any color pants for an errand run on the weekend. I can throw my striped blazer over just about any dress in my closet and feel polished. When you go and do something like dye your hair pink, having these types of items at the ready makes loving your new hair easy.
I have already worn this dress with a jean jacket and a open front kimono cardigan. I captured one of these outfits below. Sorry for the shabby shot, but I wanted to be sure you saw how easily the dress was transformed!

It is a gorgeous dress and oh so interesting and fun! I have so much black and white pattern in my closet, it is almost surreal! But it is so easy to wear patterns and mix patterns and add pops of color with a great black and white print! By the way, I love that Albert Einstein quote! It is perfect! I love wearing maxis though I’m petite. This striped design is perfect for me.
I LOVE the dress. I just wish wearing maxi-dresses didn’t require a visit to a tailor for me!
Love your dress and yes I would put a white jacket over it and wear to work. I wore a lot of cardigans over my maxi dresses when I worked.
Such a pretty look:) Maxi-dresses and skirts are so great for summer – the minute the weather turns I start gravitating toward them!
