Ruffles + Flare Denim: Two New Boho Favs

It seems whenever I get together with Ashley of Sound Snap Photo, I’m wearing something with bohemian vibes. Today was no exception.

The Flare Denim Jeans

Firstly, let’s revel over these jeans. These are THE jeans of the summer. My friend and I bought them in multiple colors after seeing them online. I have them in white, which I’ve worn here and here. Here, I’m wearing them in the medium stone wash, and since they’re clearly a winner, I’m looking at ordering them in the “denim” wash for something a bit less brightly hued.

The jeans are winners for multiple reasons. The high waist is forgiving and flattering. The top hits at the smallest part of my waist, which is key for making this silhouette work in your favor. I can tuck in body suits or flowing blouses for a curvy, but comfortable look. Even on my “fluffy” days as my mom would say, I feel like they do more good that other high waisted denim in my closet. When I don’t want to go all out bodacious babe, I find a shirt that sits nicely on top of the waistline.

The Shirt

Like this shirt. The ruffle hem rests right at the smallest part of my waist.  I’ve worn this with denim shorts, denim skirt, high waisted trousers, and maroon palazzo pants–I think that’s all. It’s been a great summer go-to, especially with this hot, sticky humidity. While I wouldn’t wear it to work with the low-cut neckline, I still thing there is something more sweet than sexy about it. The blend of colors allows it to match with just about anything. My favorite combination, by far, has been with these flare denim jeans from Vibrant Miu. Shop it all below…
