Black Velvet Dress: First of my RVA Holiday Outfit + Giveaway Series

Back to the velvet dress…
Velvet is big this season, as you probably know. It creates rich colors and is actually warm, making a velvet dress the perfect foundation for any holiday outfit. I took my new found love for velvet a step farther and paired it with velvet pumps I found at Fabrik in Carytown.
For a little extra excitement and protection from the cold, I wrapped an old faux fur stole around my neck. The velvet-on-fur layering made me happy. My earrings come from local jewelry maker Glister. I drool over the brand’s necklaces practically every time I walk in to Mod & Soul. The confetti-like pattern on the drop earrings say party without all the sequins.
