Fall Outfit Essentials You Need Now Under $50

As you all read last Sunday, I spent a beautiful evening at Pippin Hill Vineyards and met one of my favorite bloggers, Grace Atwood. I received a lot of questions about my fall outfit on social media. I have done a bit of research and all the items I’m wearing are sold out. Most of the versatile pieces came from Richmond based boutiques like Claville Fashion Truck, Love This, and Versona.

I find myself wearing similar outfits as I transition into the fall. So, inspired by this look, I’ve rounded up must-haves for everyone to create the perfect fall outfit. Bonus: they’re all under $50. Start planning your next winery trip during Virginia Wine Month and start shopping…

Olive Jeans

Olive is practically a neutral in the fall. I’ve been wearing mine more than once a week. I even threw on pumps and a blazer to turn them into a work friendly fall outfit. They were the perfect pairing for this soft look at Pippin Hill. Shop olive skinny jeans here ($25), here ($32), and here ($37).

A Neutral Vest

You don’t ned to pull out your long wool coats just yet. You’ll be sweatin’, girl! A few neutral vests will help you transition beautifully. Layer them over camisoles like I did here, throw them over a dress to warm it up, and rock them with t-shirts and jeans. Shop my vest picks here (long, $44), here (flowing, $23), and here (sweater $27).

Flowing Camisole

These are layering essentials I advocate for all my personal shopping clients to keep and stock up on. The styling options are endless. Pull on a sweater and have the ends float out of the bottom. Wear them under your thicker blazers and vests (my picks above!). Grab a basic t-shirt or long-sleeve fitted cotton shirt and wear them underneath like I did here. Shop flowing camisoles here ($15), here ($14), and here ($34).

Long Pendant Necklace

These are essentials year-round. A long pendent necklace can elevate any outfit, even if you’re rocking all neutrals or a cozy sweater. They elongate the body and connect the color dots. Reach for ones that have natural colors like green, blue, white, gold, and silver–they’ll go with everything in your fall wardrobe. Shop pendant necklaces here ($12), here (convertible, $18), and here ($25).

Neutral Booties

I just bought a pair of grey booties to add to my collection that already features a pair of black and tan booties. I wear these like heels in the fall and winter. I picked out six booties I love in a post here. They’re all from ZooShoo.com. I just leave that link there…

A Bag that Brightens

It’s only natural that as we layer on the cozy stuff that our wardrobe takes on a darker hue overall. This is quite alright. To keep your clothes from blending in, I recommend using a brighter colored bag with your fall-toned looks. Think off-white, mustard yellow, and pale pink. Shop my favorite pretty bags: white cross-body ($30), yellow cross-body bag (light blue option, $30), light pink satchel ($19).

I think I need to get myself a “bag that brightens” as all of mine are brown or black… thanks!

Great list, all of those are fall essentials to me. I’m such a vest person, there’s something about that third piece that kicks your outfit up a notch.
