Affordable Swimsuits To Shop Now for the Summer

I grew up on the shores of Lake Anna, a 13,000-acre lake in Central Virginia. I spent summers running around in nothing but a bathing suit. I ate grilled chicken on the go and dissected frogs and fish with my best friend. It was always free, wild, and simple. To this day, I keep a solid collection of affordable swimsuits on standby. Not much has changed, besides the frogs. And I’m still all about affordable swimwear. I don’t believe in spending too much money on swimsuits because they inevitably face wear and tear that can’t be undone.

Today, I still have a drawer of swimsuits I keep stocked just as I return to the shores of Lake Anna whenever I can. As we enter the warmer months, I have a few old faithfuls and some new hotties in the rotation. I regularly return to Amazon for swimsuits and have recently become a fan of the Adore Me swimsuit collection because they make swimsuits for curvy figures really well.

For me, swimsuits are still very much about function over fashion, but I’ve found a middle ground as I’ve grown older. I look for simple, flattering and comfortable bathing suits that I know I can freely and confidently move around in. In this season of life, I choose cuts that are higher to cover up my belly when I need it, but elongate my legs at the same time.

Swimsuit hack: I also frequently wear one-piece swimsuits as a shirts!
