Distressed Jeans + Sweater from Simple Soul
Please welcome Richmond’s newest women’s boutique, Simple Soul! I’ve been stalking this adorable new brand on Instagram for a couple months now. Simple Soul carries every day essentials including denim, sweaters, dresses and more. It’s all very girl-next-door and I love it. Since I get to dress more casually now, more of these kinds of items are making their way into my wardrobe. Casual coffee meetings, travel adventures, and laid back work environments are a way of life. I want to look put together, be comfortable, and still stylish at the same time.
Both the sweater and denim I’m wearing here are from Simple Soul. My favorite part is the distressed denim. I’ve been hunting for distressed denim that is both flattering and avoided looking cheap. We’re talking for more than a year! Either jeans were too cheap looking, too low-rise, uncomfortable, or distressed in unflattering areas. These jeans fit true to size, are comfortable and have the perfectly flattering high rise fit.They hit right at my belly button, the true smallest part of my waist. This is where high rise bottoms should fit. I’ve already been wearing them nearly every other day and I ain’t mad about it. Thank you for stocking such a killer find, Holly! The price points are great, too.

LOVE your whole distressed look, but I am CRAZY for your vintage-looking mustard coat with fur collar. SO cute and unique! Where did you find it?
Thank you! I actually found it at a consignment shop. It looks vintage, but it’s Merona from Target years ago. The collar is also detachable. Big win! I linked to a fur collar above you can add to any coat to get a vintage effect. Such a good investment.
