Crochet Top + Floral Kimono

Poolside Crochet Top and Kimono Look

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to keep this one plain and simple. I love this outfit and I want to wear it every day. I’m even thinking of ordered a back up crochet top and about 10 ore kimonos like this one.

As soon as the weather turned in mid May, a burning desire to online shop ignited. I hadn’t done much online shopping in months. With a more flexible work life, a man who’s band is beginning to play shows every week, and an open invitation to the Outer Banks all summer long, I wanted to spice up my wardrobe with fun, boho options that didn’t break the bank. I kept seeing ads for Romwe, a fast fashion site. You can get just about anything under $20! On my list to hunt for were kimonos and bathing suits (more on the suits below).

My favorites of the bunch are this crochet top and floral kimono. I like them so much I wanted to make sure you all had several options to shop. Here are similar options under $15…

Kimonos: 1, 2, 3, 4

Crochet Tops: 1, 2, 3, 4

A note about Romwe…

Don’t order bottoms from the site. My friend and I were super pumped for our week long trip to the Outer Banks. Together, we ordered six bathing suits from the budget fashion site. Neither of us had bought a new bathing suit in a while. Both of us live or spend a lot time near the water so most of ours are all worn out. We wanted to look damn good at the beach! So, we ordered all six in a size medium assuming a few would fit one or the other better or worse. This was in addition to the crochet top pictured here, two kimonos (one pictured here), and a pair of shorts.

The package didn’t arrive until we were about to leave, so we actually waited to open them at the beach. There were several really great suits that were surprisingly high quality. BUT, at least three of the bottoms were laughably small. I mean, they should have been labeled XS. The shorts were the same scenario. In no way should they have been labeled a medium. Often a medium is too large for me, but I do swing closer to the average medium bottoms these days (I ain’t mad about it). There is no reason a girl who wears a 2 or a 4 to be ordering large for anything! I don’t give a Kim Kardashian’s butt about what my labels say, but I believe in honest manufacturing and marketing. The items were so cheap it would have cost more to send back, so I found a smaller friend an a Goodwill bag to discard them.

Heads up, stick to tops and dresses from this site.
