Dress/Blue Suede Heels/Earrings/ Jacket
Wedding season is here. We’re all still feeling a little unsteady about the weather changing (they are calling for snow in Virginia later this week!). Nevertheless, or internal fashion clocks are telling us it’s time to show some skin and bring our spring colors out to play. Spring weddings offer the chance to do this!
Let’s start with something flattering, like this dress. It might be from Forever 21 (Only $27!), but I dare anyone not to look good in this. Not to mention, the color is on trend for this spring.
Before I go any further, you will notice this is NOT A WHITE DRESS. I don’t advocate for following many fashion rules, but this one is serious down here in the south. One of my major pet peeves is spotting a lady wearing a white dress at a weddings. Every wedding I go to, there is always ONE WOMAN wearing a white dress. Usually it’s a really cute dress. That means you thought about what you were wearing and you didn’t think about the bride. You get one chance to be a good wedding guest to the bride and groom who invited you. Take my advice. Don’t stand out on someone else’s wedding day. Rant is now over. Phew.
I have been lusting over this clutch from Nasty Gal for a month or so now. It will class up any outfit and is large enough to fit more than just your phone and lip gloss. Weddings are long events! You need other things like blush, the invitation, tissues, and bandaids.
I bet 100% of the weddings on your list this Spring are going to be held outside.
