Festival Fashion and Beauty Finds

Coachella is this weekend! While many of you know I’m a music lover, we all know this festival is about much more than that.  It’s a who’s who of fashion and a destination for style inspiration. The outfits found here will inevitably set the tone for this summer’s boho-chic styles. I believe inspiration from the eras of the 90s and 70s will reign with a touch of Spanish influences.

Did you see last week’s post with Stephanie from Drunk on Vogue? We both found some Spanish-inspired looks, but my jean jacket and her ripped shorts screamed for the 90s. I also gave her some pretty good festival planning tips to share.  Festivals are not all about the fasion. Below, I have a few beauty product recommendations to help you get ready for your big festival date.

I fell in love with the bell sleeves and flattering lace up detail of the top I’m wearing here. I can’t wait to pair it with some palazzo pants and high-waisted flares or skinnies. The skirt, well, I’m just a sucker for rich color and patterns. I paired it with a conservative sweater recently for a work event and felt fun!

Festival Beauty Prep

festival beauty

I have been to a festival or two, friends. I gave you a few festival packing tips on Drunk on Vogue’s recent post. I have some music-centered trips lined up for this Spring and Summer already. As I prepare for days on the road (in the company of mostly men) I’m using a few new products.

With all the bellies, legs, and arm pits showing, I’ll start with the skin.  I’d like to recommend trying The Cool Fix if you have problems with razor burns or ingrown hairs.  It smells great and has actually really helped me out more than I anticipated between waxings.  I have an extra bottle! If you want it, comment on this post!

Second, I’ll tell you about the hair. Unwash Dry Cleaner and Unwash Hydrating Masque help you reduce the number of times you need to wash your hair. So far, I’ve been able to stretch to 3 to almost 4 days with confidence. That’s pretty amazing for someone who The Dry Cleaner uses volcanic ash to absorb oils and it also strengthens your hair at the same time, which is extra special for a dry shampoo.

If you live near Dulles Town Center, on April 19, you can purchase your own Cool Fix and have a chance at winning a prize!

What do you think about this look?

What festival prep questions do you have?! I would love to help you plan!!
