Simple Fall Living Room Decor

I always throw a Halloween party–like since I can remember! My birthday is on October 29, so there’s really no choice. I do love the holiday and forcing all of my friends to dress up year after year. They love and hate me for it. Though I’m a Halloween fan, I rarely do much in the way of decorating, however. I am not a big fan of swapping out all of my living room decor for a temporary takeover.  It’s just too much work! On the same note, I don’t have the storage to keep big things in between seasons. I also genuinely love my apartment decor! I’d rather accentuate it than replace it or cover it up.  You can see more of my apartment here.

Instead, I transition my living room decor very subtly. I have begun to add simple white pumpkins, pampas grass, skulls, and more. I keep the decor neutral so the items can really go anywhere. My signature artwork and accent pillows still pop. My goal is to work toward a continued modern yet bohemian aesthetic.

Another simple holiday decor trick is to add some holiday scents! Right now, I have some of the holiday scented candles from local candle brand Navabella. Sometimes the scent is all you need to make it feel like fall at home. I look for simple candle designs, too. I don’t want anything to colorful or distracting. Less is more!

Much of my living room decor is from consignment shops and thrift stores. I’m a big fan and proponent of shopping second hand when possible. It’s cost effectiive and sustainable. What I can’t find second hand, I typically shop at All Modern, Target, Wayfair , and Amazon. Keep scrolling to shop my favorite finds online and in the store.
