Charlottesville is one of Virginia’s smallest cities that packs a lot of charm. It was also one of the closest cities to visit when I grew up in Louisa County. I remember begging my mom to take me shopping whenever we had a chance. The college town is full of fabulous boutiques like the one where I found this fun embroidered dress.
Today, my dear friend works at the University of Virginia. I have been meaning to visit her for a bit of indulgence. It’s just a short 1-hour drive from Richmond. First on our list, Duo, a darling new clothing + consignment boutique. Over the years, she and I both have scored some killer finds.
This visit, I landed on this funky THML embroidered dress. It’s out of the box for me, but totally wearable for work and play. I wore it here with simple grey booties and my go-to burgundy bag.
Sometimes we hold back on items like this embroidered dress because we know after a few months, they’ll have made their statement one too many times and we won’t have a use for them. Enter, a new way to shop and rotate your wardrobe…
Second, Rotating Your Closet with Rohvi
Rohvi is a new way to buy full-priced items and guarantee a return on your investment after your done with them. The new start-up offers fashionable women like me and you a new way to consign. It works like this…
First, you visit and buy a new item at one of the participating stores. There are currently three fabulous boutiques in Charlottesville who are participating. I can’t wait to try them all and also see what other boutiques join as the program grows. See a current list of Rohvi merchants here.
Then, once you’ve found and purchased the perfect item, upload, email, or text the receipt of your purchases to rohvi@rohvi.com or 910-447-6484. You can then keep the item for up to three months.
Once you’ve decided your embroidered dress has made all the appearances you want it to, mark the item for return using the site. Plan your visit to the boutique from where you received the item and return it. The site says they can be returned in any condition.
After you return the item, you’ll get 30% store credit of the item’s original value to shop again. You are able to do this up to three times a year at any of the participating boutiques. After your first return, you’ll be entered into the program. There are early 50 members now! There is a $39.99 charge for the first 6 months.
