Plaid Skirt Mix Up

View More: http://crystalreynsphotography.pass.us/megan-sweet-sauce-1Have you been overwhelmed by the temptation to buy one plaid shirt and scarf after the other? I can barely stay afloat in the sea of buffalo plaid button downs and lumberjack checked scarves.

ALL THE PLAID!

Let’s take a step back and remind ourselves we can approach this trend from a difference angle. I have love for this traditional pattern and think it compliments just about any look, but  I wanted to encourage you to try something more brave: wear it on the bottom instead of the top. I found the above vintage plaid wool skirt at Rumors Vintage Boutique in Richmond, VA last winter. During the past several months, I have styled it many different ways, including with a silk tank top during the summer. I have documented a few outfits for your inspiration. I also scoured the net to help you shop for your perfect plaid skirt.  You’re welcome!
