Little Red Dress
I’ve always been a fan of red. It is warm and powerful. It can give anyone confidence and inspire action. It also is known to make you hungry. I decorate my dwellings, paint my nails, and gloss my lips with red. It has always been my favorite color, though pink is my signature color.
It’s important for everyone to have two or three signature colors to help make decisions when buying clothes. It makes getting ready easier because you can mix and match with colors that all compliment each other. My closet had been missing some red after I donated a lot of older items this spring.
As I planned to head back to my home town for a wedding, I popped into Mod & Soul to see if they had a bit of something sexy and funky to wear. This little red dress caught my eye immediately. The color is a firey orange-red. It called to me across the room.
When I slipped it on, I immediately wanted to twirl. The fit and flare shape was girly and the v-shaped back added a bit of sex appeal. Above all the other dressed I tried on, this one made me glow. The high quality texture is light and prevents wrinkles, which is especially helpful during those hot summer weddings.
I boogied, ate, and drank the night away in my NYX red lip stain, vintage choker and gold heels (Currently 75% off!). I will wear this dress into the fall with a jean jacket, boots and scarf. I’ll rock it out with a black leather jacket and black lace-up heels.
