Fathers Day Gift Guide

Father’s Day Gift Guide

Father’s Day is June 21, everyone! I wanted to provide my round up of favorite gift ideas. I’ve come in contact with all of these brands and products and think you and your family will find one that works for you. All of them can be ordered online and arrive in time for the big day! Not to mention, many are good to the environment, support great causes, and are made locally.

Lush Dirty

If you aren’t familiar with Lush, then get familiar. One of my favorite stylish man friends introduced my household to Lush, specifically the Dirty line. My boyfriend has probably tried five or six different hair products during the past year and the Dirty styling cream has risen far above them all. It’s the perfect styling paste for any man who takes a laid back approach to his hair, but still gives a damn. Pair it with the Dirty shower gel and you’ve got yourself a complete man’s man gift that also smells really really good. Get the styling cream here and the shower gel here.

Koz Hats

I gave my brother and my man (who is a dad) Koz hats for Christmas last year. This gift is for your modern dad who has tattoos, knows how to ride a skate board, doesn’t report to a 9-5, and/or loves giving back. The Koz brand lets you pick a hat that corresponds with a particular cause and contributes a portion of the cost to a charity that fights to solve that problem. There are nine different colors to choose from. Click here to get one for your dad’s head.

Gentleman’s Box

Ladies, you know about Birchbox and other sample box services, right? Finally, there is one for the men. I test drove the Gentleman’s Box by giving a subscription to my brother. We were both very impressed with this service. For $25 a month, you can get your pops a box of goodies each month worth more than $70 . Each box has a theme that guides the selection, includes a GQ magazine, and an array of style and grooming products from socks, to scarves (my brother received a cashmere scarf!), to tie clips, to  whiskey glasses, to shave gel. This is a great gift for any man who is curious about ways to step up his game, even if he’s starting from ground zero. The cool part: You can pay for this one over time and you can choose how many months you want to buy it for him. I think three months is a solid start. If you sign up for the newsletter, you get 10% off the first box. Try it now.

Workout Support from Arbonne

I have recently been introduced to Arbonne’s nutritional and cosmetics products. I have been nothing but happy and impressed with the content and the prices. While I could recommend a lot of the personal care products for men, I thought I’d share a new line that supports the dads trying to make the most of their runs, kayak trips, and gyms seshes. Arbonne’s Phytosport has something for the before, during and after of Dad’s workouts. I heard a nutritionist speak specifically and highly of these products (she’s also a runner). You can get the full product set or just one of the “Prepare & Endure,” “Complete Hydration,” or the “After Workout” here. I drink the protein shakes and they are delicious.  Check out the rest of the nutritional products here.

Beard Oil by Maven Made

Got a dad growing out his beard? Who doesn’t. My man has been growing out his beard for the first time since the winter and Maven Made‘s beard oil has played a big role in keeping his rogue hairs under control, his skin healthy, and his locks shining. He claims he smells a little too much like a hippy when he wears it, but I freaking love it and that’s what matters, right? There are two beard oil scents: Cedarwood + Bergamot + Camomile and Rosemary + Lavendar + Pine. I use Maven Made’s facial serum everyday. My skin stays glowing and clear. Does your dad get tension headaches? I’ve heard the Headache + Tension remedy really works. Polish off your gift of beard oil with this extra.
